The first national information day for the dissemination and transfer of the 3DPRISM project results was held in Italy, on 11th of September 2017.

The project is led by the UK’s University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre Training Centre (AMRC) with consortium members from Belgium (CECIMO), Spain (FLORIDA), Greece (EXELIA) and Italy (CIMEA). It is scheduled for completion in February 2018.

Additive Manufacturing (AM) offers many benefits over traditional manufacturing techniques in the concept and prototyping of designs. AM technology allows the generation of complex geometries and lattice structures to make lighter and more efficient components.

What is 3DPRISM?

The 3DPRISM has the objectives:

  • To support VET provision on 3D printing skills with guidelines, resources, OERs and a hands-on training methodology.
  • To identity new occupational profiles in the manufacturing sector, to facilitate & accelerate the integration of new skills and qualifications in VET.
  • To contribute to the implementation of EU policies on qualifications, transparency, mobility and a European industrial renaissance, creating secure & sustainable jobs.

Who is involved?

The 3DPRISM project is led by the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, in partnership with Florida Universitaria, CECIMO, Exelia and Cimea.
