Route to rapid manufacturing – what is possible with Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing
15-04-2016 17:532015 delegates said…”A very informative well-organised event which met all expectations” – Steve Clarke, Kawasaki Precision Machinery…“Good blend of support system manufacturers and end users with a consistent set of emerging themes” – John Dunstan, BAE Systems
Additive manufacturing (AM) is a technology that has been used by the manufacturing industry for decades. It has sped up routes to market by vastly improving R&D times through rapid prototyping and mould making.
Beyond a design tool, however, it remains a massively underutilised technology and never truly understood and exploited as a method of rapid manufacturing.
A 2015 survey conducted by The Manufacturer highlighted confusion in the manufacturing sector around whether or not to embrace additive technology and 3D printing, what was possible with additive and whether to use it for innovation and or production strategy within their businesses.
This one day event will provide an intensive learning opportunity for you to get all the real facts on what is possible with AM and how to embrace it within your business.
The event will also showcase the most innovative businesses that have taken AM technology and applied it to their manufacturing processes including Rolls Royce, BAE Systems and GKN.
